Directions & Parking

The map below shows the location of our ticket booth at the corner of East Chandler and South East Streets (in front of Wysteria House at 602 South East Street). You can use this map to obtain driving directions and see more detailed views of South East Street.

Parking

There is free parking available in the rear of the Museum of Culpeper History (803 S. Main Street), at the Virginia Community Bank (701 S. Main Street) lot (12-4:30 pm) across Mason Street from the museum and on-street parking on some of the side streets. Please consult the parking in Culpeper map to find other parking locations in downtown Culpeper. (Requires Adobe Reader)

Traveling to Culpeper

For those visitors coming from out of town, we have included the following directions:

From Washington DC/I-66
Take Rt. 66 West to Rt. 29 South at Gainesville. Travel approximately 35 miles on Rt. 29 South to 3rd Culpeper exit (Rt. 3, sign will say Fredericksburg/Culpeper). Turn right onto Rt. 3 and go to second light. Turn right on to Main Street. East Street runs parallel to Main Street. Use the parking guide above.

From Charlottesville/I-64
Travel Rt. 29 North. Take the 3rd Culpeper exit (Rt. 3). At the top of the ramp turn left. At the 3rd traffic light turn right onto Main Street. Follow the directions above.

From Fredericksburg/I-95
Take Rt. 3 West to Culpeper. At the 4th traffic light turn right onto Main Street. Follow the directions above.
